     Helen Douglas Duff was born on 3 September 1887.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Ludovic Duff and Janet Douglas Duff.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. Edgar Dolphin, son of Reverend John Maximilian Dolphin, on 30 June 1923.² She died in 1978.¹
     From 30 June 1923, her married name became Dolphin.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Edgar Dolphin was the son of Reverend John Maximilian Dolphin.¹ He married Helen Douglas Duff, daughter of Sir Alexander Ludovic Duff and Janet Douglas Duff, on 30 June 1923.¹ He died in 1930.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Peter Western Dolphin was born in 1924.² He was the son of Lt.-Cdr. Edgar Dolphin and Helen Douglas Duff.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Marion Galbraith in 1948.² He and Anne Marion Galbraith were divorced in 1953.² He married, secondly, Margaret Sally Maurice, daughter of Commander Patrick Rycroft Maurice, in 1955.² He died on 21 November 2019.³
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.² He lived in 2003 at 11 Longmead, Woolton Hill, Newbury, Berkshire, England^G.²

     Dorothy Alexandra Duff was born on 26 June 1890.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Ludovic Duff and Janet Douglas Duff.¹ She married Admiral Sir William Milbourne James, son of Major William Christopher James and Effie Gray Millais, on 18 January 1915.¹ She died in 1971.¹
     From 18 January 1915, her married name became James.¹ She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1943.²

     Admiral Sir William Milbourne James was born on 22 December 1881.² He was the son of Major William Christopher James and Effie Gray Millais.³ He married Dorothy Alexandra Duff, daughter of Sir Alexander Ludovic Duff and Janet Douglas Duff, on 18 January 1915.⁴ He died on 17 August 1973 at age 91 at Surrey, England.^4,2
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹

     Captain Christopher Alexander James was born on 24 November 1916.² He was the son of Admiral Sir William Milbourne James and Dorothy Alexandra Duff.² He married Cynthia Swire, daughter of Captain Douglas William Swire and Theodosia Frances Boyle, on 6 April 1938.² He died on 1 January 1969 at age 52.¹
     He lived at Warroch House, Milnathort, Kinross-shire, Scotland.³ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Signal Officer in 1941 in the 4th MTB Flotilla.¹ He was wit the Staff of Commander-in-Chief BPF and Signal Officer to 2nd in charge BPF between 1944 and 1945.¹ He was Director of Staff between 1951 and 1952 at Royal Naval Staff College, Greenwich, London, England^G.¹ He was Captain of the H.M.S. Concord between 1953 and 1954.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1966.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1967.¹

     Cynthia Swire was the daughter of Captain Douglas William Swire and Theodosia Frances Boyle.² She married Captain Christopher Alexander James, son of Admiral Sir William Milbourne James and Dorothy Alexandra Duff, on 6 April 1938.¹ She died on 9 April 1971.¹
     From 6 April 1938, her married name became James.¹

     Julian Alexander Ludovic James was born on 31 October 1939.¹ He is the son of Captain Christopher Alexander James and Cynthia Swire.¹ He married Hilary Jane Browne, daughter of Thomas Gillespie Browne and Susan Monica Smith, on 18 December 1965.¹
