Alfred Elijah Slusher1 
He gained the rank of Private in December 1863 in the E Company, Illinois 51st Volunteer Infantry.3 He fought in the American Civil War, and was caputred by the Confederates and held at Andersonville Prison for the last 5 months of the war.3
