     Emily Brooke was the daughter of Thomas Brooke and Margaret Cunliffe.¹ She married Vice-Admiral Sir Henry Shiffner, 2nd Bt., son of Sir George Shiffner, 1st Bt. and Mary Bridger, on 9 July 1825.¹ She died on 9 March 1878.¹
     From 9 July 1825, her married name became Shiffner.¹

     Philip Houghton married Mary Brisset, daughter of John Brisset, before 1765.¹ He died before 1765.¹
     He lived at Jamaica.¹

     Mary Cunliffe was born on 4 August 1761 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.² She was the daughter of Sir Robert Cunliffe, 2nd Bt. and Mary Wright.^1,2 She married Sir Richard Brooke, 5th Bt., son of Sir Richard Brooke, 4th Bt. and Frances Patten, on 4 May 1780 at Chester, Cheshire, England^G.² She died on 13 April 1825 at age 63.¹
     From 4 May 1780, her married name became Brooke.¹

     Mary Brooke was the daughter of Sir Richard Brooke, 5th Bt. and Mary Cunliffe.¹ She married Sir James Miles Riddell, 2nd Bt. on 27 March 1822.¹ She died on 30 January 1866.¹
     From 27 March 1822, her married name became Riddell.¹

     Sir James Miles Riddell, 2nd Bt. married Mary Brooke, daughter of Sir Richard Brooke, 5th Bt. and Mary Cunliffe, on 27 March 1822.¹ He died before 1866.¹
     He was also known as 2nd Baronet Riddell.²

     General Thomas Brooke was born on 2 April 1816.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Brooke, 6th Bt. and Harriot Cunliffe.¹ He married Catherine Marie Diana Draper, daughter of Colonel Edward Alured Draper and Lucie de Kivel, on 8 December 1840.¹ He died on 4 November 1880 at age 64.¹
     He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 12th Foot.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 28th Regiment.¹

     Catherine Marie Diana Draper was the daughter of Colonel Edward Alured Draper and Lucie de Kivel.^1,2 She married General Thomas Brooke, son of Sir Richard Brooke, 6th Bt. and Harriot Cunliffe, on 8 December 1840.¹ She died on 24 January 1907.¹
     From 8 December 1840, her married name became Brooke.¹

     Colonel Edward Alured Draper was born on 22 October 1776 at Oxfordshire, England.² He married Lucie de Kivel in 1822 at Mauritius.² He died on 22 April 1841 at age 64.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He gained the rank of Brevet Major in 1803.² In 1804 he was jailed for three months for libel, for defending Sir Thomas Picton.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Scots Fusilier Guards.¹ He was a civil servant between 1812 and 1832 at Mauritius.² He held the office of Colonial Treasurer and Paymaster-General [Mauritius] between 1836 and 1841.²

     Colonel Alured de Vere Brooke was born on 10 November 1841 at Mauritius^G.^1,2 He was the son of General Thomas Brooke and Catherine Marie Diana Draper.¹ He married Mary Augustus Dobrée, daughter of Bonamy Dobrée and Emma Mary Snell Chauncey, on 14 July 1874.¹ He died on 19 April 1926 at age 84.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineer.¹

     Mary Augustus Dobrée was born in 1854 at Southwark, Surrey, England^G.^2,3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Bonamy Dobrée and Emma Mary Snell Chauncey.^1,6 She married Colonel Alured de Vere Brooke, son of General Thomas Brooke and Catherine Marie Diana Draper, on 14 July 1874.¹ She married an unknown person in September 1874 at London, England^G.^7,6 She died on 4 March 1947.¹
