     Andrew James Woods Ballard was born on 19 March 1976.¹ He is the son of William Richard Woods Ballard and Marianne Jean Elspeth Arbuthnott.¹
     He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)² He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Master of Science (M.Sc.)²

     Archibald Arbuthnott was born on 8 July 1898.¹ He was the son of Hugh Corsar Arbuthnott and Marianne Gibson.¹ He married Barbara Joan Worters, daughter of John Hughman Worters, on 18 September 1931.¹ He died on 12 March 1977 at age 78.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1917 in the Royal Engineers.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1917 and 1918, where he was severely wounded.¹ He was a chartered accountant.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Malay States Volunteer Forces.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1946.¹

     Barbara Joan Worters was the daughter of John Hughman Worters.¹ She married Archibald Arbuthnott, son of Hugh Corsar Arbuthnott and Marianne Gibson, on 18 September 1931.¹ She died on 22 September 1988.²
     From 18 September 1931, her married name became Arbuthnott.¹ She lived in 1999 at The Mill House, Tidmarsh, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     John Hughman Worters lived at The White House, Chipstead, Surrey, England^G.¹

     John Arbuthnott was born on 21 May 1933.¹ He is the son of Archibald Arbuthnott and Barbara Joan Worters.¹ He married Ann Garton, daughter of Arthur Frederick Garton, on 7 April 1956.¹
     He was educated at Sedbergh School, Sedbergh, Cumbria, England^G.¹ He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1960 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He lived in 1999 at The Old Rectory, Llangynhafel, Denbighshire, Wales^G.¹

     Sir Henry Portman, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1595.² He was the son of Sir John Portman, 1st Bt. and Anne Gifford.³ He married Lady Anne Stanley, daughter of William Stanley, 6th Earl of Derby and Lady Elizabeth de Vere, on 20 July 1615.¹ He died in February 1623/24, without issue.²
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Portman, of Orchard Portman, co. Somerset [E., 1612] on 4 December 1612.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Somerset from 1621 to 1622.²

     Lady Stanley Kerr was the son of Robert Kerr, 1st Earl of Ancrame and Lady Anne Stanley.^1,2 He died between 1666 and May 1672.^1,2
     He was also known as Stanley Carr.¹

     Lady Vere Kerr was the daughter of Robert Kerr, 1st Earl of Ancrame and Lady Anne Stanley.¹ She married Dr. unknown Wilkinson.²
     Her married name became Wilkinson.²

     Ann Garton is the daughter of Arthur Frederick Garton.¹ She married John Arbuthnott, son of Archibald Arbuthnott and Barbara Joan Worters, on 7 April 1956.¹
     From 7 April 1956, her married name became Arbuthnott.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Kerr was the daughter of Robert Kerr, 1st Earl of Ancrame and Lady Anne Stanley.¹ She married Colonel Nathaniel Rich, son of Robert Rich and Elizabeth Dutton.¹
     Her married name became Rich.¹
