     Clement Weyland Bowyer-Smijth was born on 23 November 1851.¹ He was the son of Reverend Alfred John Edward Bowyer-Smijth and Mary Constantia Rolt.^1,2 He married Edith Maude Gray, daughter of W. Gray, in 1891. He died on 22 February 1910 at age 58.¹

     Reverend Alfred John Edward Bowyer-Smijth was born on 20 August 1825.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Bowyer-Smijth, 10th Bt. and Laetitia Cecily Weyland.² He married Mary Constantia Rolt, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir John Rolt, on 17 June 1847. He died on 19 January 1887 at age 61.¹
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was the Rector at Attleborough, Norfolk, England^G.²

     George Smith was the son of John Smith and Agnes Charnock.¹ He married Isabella (?)¹ He died before 9 March 1584.¹

     Sir Thomas Smith was born on 28 March 1514.¹ He was the son of John Smith and Agnes Charnock.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Karkeck, daughter of William Karkeck, on 15 April 1549.¹ He married, secondly, Philippa Wilford, daughter of John Wilford, on 23 July 1554.¹ He died on 12 August 1577 at age 63, without issue.¹
     He held the office of Secretary of State, during the reigns of King Edward VI and Queen Elizabeth I.¹ He held the office of Ambassador to France, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Essex.¹ He held the office of Chancellor of the Order of the Garter.¹ He lived at Hill Hall, Theydon Mount, Essex, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Karkeck was the daughter of William Karkeck.¹ She married Sir Thomas Smith, son of John Smith and Agnes Charnock, on 15 April 1549.¹ She died on 3 August 1553.¹
     From 15 April 1549, her married name became Smith.¹

     Philippa Wilford was the daughter of John Wilford.¹ She married, firstly, Sir John Hampden before 1554.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Thomas Smith, son of John Smith and Agnes Charnock, on 23 July 1554.¹ She died on 13 June 1578.¹
     From before 1554, her married name became Hampden.¹ From 23 July 1554, her married name became Smith.¹
