     Beckwith Beckwith-Smith was born on 28 November 1849.¹ He was the son of Jason Smith and Harriet France.¹ He married Georgina Butler Moore, daughter of Captain Butler Dunboyne Moore and Nannie Eyre, on 30 April 1889. He died on 21 July 1926 at age 76.¹
     He lived at Aberarder, Strathnairn, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.¹
