     He fought in the First World War.¹ He was a planter at Jamaica^G.¹

     Maud Burghersh is the daughter of Sir John Burghersh.¹

     John Chaucer is the son of Robert Malyn le Chaucer.¹

     Robert Malyn le Chaucer is the son of Andrew de Dinnington.¹

     Andrew de Dinnington lived at Ipswich, Suffolk, England^G.¹

     Philippa Roët is the daughter of Sir Payne Roët.² She married Geoffrey Chaucer, son of John Chaucer.
     Her married name became Chaucer.²

     Lewis Chaucer was born circa 1381.¹ He was the son of Geoffrey Chaucer and Philippa Roët.¹ He died after 1391.¹

     Mary Edwards Noble was born on 23 July 1861 at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada^G.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Grieve Noble and Mary Iles.¹ She married Reverend Charles Gregson, son of John Gregson and Caroline Dalton, on 9 June 1880 at St. Georges, Bermuda^G. She died on 25 April 1938 at age 76.¹
     From 9 June 1880, her married name became Gregson.¹

     Robert Grieve Noble was born on 9 August 1792 at Peebles-shire, Scotland^G.¹ He married, firstly, Lucy Butler.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Iles, daughter of William Hurford Iles and Lucy Restall, on 13 June 1854 at New York, U.S.A.^G. He died on 31 January 1872 at age 79 at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada^G.¹
