Professor Lionel Smith Beale1 

Professor Lionel Smith Beale was born on 5 February 1828.2 He married Frances Blakiston, daughter of Sir Matthew Blakiston, 2nd Bt. and Anne Rochfort, on 26 April 1859.1 He died on 28 March 1906 at age 78.1
He graduated from King’s College London, London, EnglandG, in 1851 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1,2 He was a physician and microscopist.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1857.1 He was a professor at King’s College London, London, EnglandG.2
