Phillip Howland Christian1 
He and three of his brothers went out looking for bird’s nests. When in a very dangerous part of the cliff, out of sight of the others, he lost his balance and fell to his death 250 feet onto the rocks below.1

Morris Sterling Warren1 
Morris Sterling Warren also went by the nick-name of Mento. He was a pensioner on Pitcairn, spending his time doing odd jobs around the school. He was also ‘notorious’ as the island’s only smoker, and special dispensations had to be granted to island ‘no smoking’ laws to permit him to smoke. He was the island flagman, and the bellringer at the church. He was mentally disabled due to genetic problems, the son of a brother and his sister. in 1980.1
