     Henry Walter Harvey Menzies was born on 21 May 1901 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ He was the son of Susan Menzies.¹ He died on 28 May 1945 at age 44 at North Borneo^G, while a POW, on the ‘Sandakan Death March’ (which was said to have made the Bataan Death March look like a picnic!).^2,3
     Henry Walter Harvey Menzies also went by the nick-name of Taylor. He gained the rank of Private in the 2/19 Battalion, 8th Australian Division.¹ He fought in the Second World War, and became a prisoner of war.¹

     Eleanor Constance Menzies was born on 28 August 1904 at Norfolk Island^G.¹ She is the daughter of Susan Menzies.¹ She married Jack Gordon in 1928.¹
