     Henry Taubman Christian was born on 29 January 1810 at Ewanrigg Hall, Dearham, Cumberland, England^G.¹ He was the son of Deemster John Christian and Susanna Allen.¹ He married Eliza Mellor on 24 May 1842 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He died on 30 April 1859 at age 49 at Rhyl, Flintshire, Wales^G, without issue.¹ He was buried in 1859 at Rhuddlan’s, Flintshire, Wales^G.¹
     He was educated at Sedbergh School, Sedbergh, Cumbria, England^G.²

     Robert Christian was born on 30 August 1812 at Ewanrigg Hall, Dearham, Cumberland, England^G.¹ He was the son of Deemster John Christian and Susanna Allen.¹ He died on 4 February 1813 at Ewanrigg Hall, Dearham, Cumberland, England^G.¹ He was buried in February 1813 at Dearham, Cumberland, England^G.¹

     Reverend William Bell Christian was born on 17 August 1815 at Ewanrigg Hall, Dearham, Cumberland, England^G.² He was the son of Deemster John Christian and Susanna Allen.² He married, firstly, Charlotte Elizabeth Brine, daughter of Thomas Brine, on 21 July 1840.¹ He married, secondly, Emma Mary Houssemayne Du Boulay, daughter of Reverend James Thomas Houssemayne Du Boulay and Susannah Maria Ward, on 4 January 1864 at Torquay, Devon, England^G.² He married, thirdly, Maria Bowes Johnson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Christopher Johnson, on 18 June 1867 at St. Peter’s, Eaton Square, London, England^G.² He married, fourthly, Sophie Marie Anna Katharina Schlact, daughter of Karl Levin Schlact, on 1 September 1874 at Schwerin, Mecklenburg, Germany^G.² He died on 31 July 1886 at age 70 at Milntown, Lezayre, Isle of Man^G.² He was buried on 2 August 1886 at Kirk Lezayre, Isle of Man^G.²
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1840 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was Government Chaplain in 1840 at St. John’s^G.² He was the Vicar between 1845 and 1861 at Lezayre, Isle of Man^G.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the Isle of Man.¹ He held the office of Magistrate in 1858.² He held the office of Member of the House of Keys (M.H.K.) on 21 March 1867, for Ramsey.² He was Captain of the Parish of Maughold on 12 March 1872.²
     He was the last self-elected Key, and one of only two clergymen who ever sat in the House. He soon became an active and leading Member, and when in 1866 the House of Keys became popularly elected he was returned for Ramsey, as he was, unopposed, in each election for the next 18 years. In April 1883 he was appointed Receiver General, with a seat in the Council of the Legislature. He was an ardent lover of his country, and did much good work for it.²

     Charlotte Elizabeth Brine was the daughter of Thomas Brine.¹ She married Reverend William Bell Christian, son of Deemster John Christian and Susanna Allen, on 21 July 1840.² She died on 27 October 1862 at Torquay, Devon, England^G.¹ She was buried on 1 November 1862 at Torquay, Devon, England^G.¹
     From 21 July 1840, her married name became Christian.¹

     Thomas Brine was born at Isle of Man^G.¹
     He was an architect, and surveyor to the Manx Government.¹

     Dorothy Houssemayne Du Boulay was born on 19 October 1873 at Heddington, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ She is the daughter of Reverend Francis Houssemayne Du Boulay and Annie Louisa Christian.¹

     Charles Craik Christian was born on 28 March 1821 at Ewanrigg Hall, Dearham, Cumberland, England^G.¹ He was the son of Deemster John Christian and Susanna Allen.¹ He died on 27 June 1838 at age 17 at Milntown, Lezayre, Isle of Man^G.¹ He was buried at Kirk Lezayre, Isle of Man^G.¹

     Susanna Curwen Christian was born on 19 February 1808 at Ewanrigg Hall, Dearham, Cumberland, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Deemster John Christian and Susanna Allen.¹ She married Sir Augustus William Hillary, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Hillary and Frances Elizabeth Disney ffytch, on 29 September 1829 at St. George’s Chapel, Braddan, Isle of Man^G.¹ She died on 17 August 1888 at age 80 at West Drayton, London, England^G, without issue.¹ She was buried in August 1888 at West Drayton, London, England^G.¹
     From 29 September 1829, her married name became Hillary.²

     Sir Augustus William Hillary, 2nd Bt. was born at Danbury Place, Springfield, Essex, England^G.³ He was the son of Sir William Hillary and Frances Elizabeth Disney ffytch.³ He was born in 1801.² He married Susanna Curwen Christian, daughter of Deemster John Christian and Susanna Allen, on 29 September 1829 at St. George’s Chapel, Braddan, Isle of Man^G.³ He died on 30 December 1855 at West Drayton, London, England^G.³ He was buried in 1855 at West Drayton, London, England^G.³
     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Hillary.
