Patrick fitz Maurice fitz John, 6th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw1
He was also known as Patrick FitzMaurice.3 Patrick fitz Maurice fitz John, 6th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw also went by the nick-name of Patrick ‘the Bearded’.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw [I., c. 1295] circa 1398.1 In March 1421 an agreement was reached between Patrick and James FitzGerald, Earl of Desmond, resolving the dispute over palatine rights in Kerry.2 In August 1450 the Abbot of Kyrie Eleeison (Odorney) complained to the Pope about outrages committed by Patrick, and James Geraldine, Earl of Desmond.2
