Hon. Louise Fermor-Hesketh was born on 15 December 1911.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Fermor-Hesketh, 1st Baron Hesketh and Florence Louise Breckinridge.1 She married Sir Edmund Villiers Minshull Stockdale, 1st Bt., son of Major Henry Minshull Stockdale and Florence Margaret Rose Villiers, on 24 July 1937.1 She died on 19 September 1994 at age 82.3
From 24 July 1937, her married name became Stockdale.1

He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.2 He was with the Bank of England in 1921.2 He was Assistant to the Governors of the Reserve Bank, India in 1935.2 He was Assistant Principal of the Bank of England in 1937.2 He was Deputy Principal of the Bank of England in 1945.2 He was member of the London Stock Exchange between 1946 and 1960.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the City of London in 1948.2 He was appointed Knight in 1955.2 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1959 and 1960.2 He was created 1st Baronet Stockdale, of Hoddington, co. Southampton [U.K.] on 5 December 1960.2
