     Karl Theodore Kurfürst von der Pfalz Herzog von Jülich-Berg, Kurfürt von Bayern was born on 11 December 1724 at Brussels, BelgiumG. He was the son of Johann Christian Joseph von der Pfalz Herzog und Pfalzgraf von Sulzbach and Marie Anne Henriëtte Lepoldine de la Tour d’Auvergne.3,4 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Maria von Pfalz-Sulzbach, daughter of Joseph Karl von Pfalz-Sulzbach and Elizabeth Augusta von Pfalz-Neuburg.2 He married, secondly, Maria-Leopoldine Erzherzogin von Österreich-Este, daughter of Ferdinand Karl Erzherzog von Österreich and Maria Beatrice d‘Este, Duchessa di Modena, on 15 February 1795. He died on 16 February 1799 at age 74, without legitimate issue.4
     He succeeded as the Kurfürst von der Pfalz in 1742.1 He succeeded as the Kurfürst von Bayern in 1777.5
