     He was educated at St. Columba’s College, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1910 in the West African Frontier Force.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the East Lancashire Regiment.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Averina Jane Oliver was born in 1892 at The Mill House, Buttevant, County Cork, Ireland.² She was the daughter of William Richardson Oliver and Hermione Constance Harriet Brasier-Creagh.^1,2 She married Major Charles Sackville Hamilton, son of Sackville Berkeley Hamilton and Eva Maria Eleanor Benson, on 25 November 1918.¹ She died in 1973 at Lytham St. Anns, Lancashire, England.^1,2
     Averina Jane Oliver also went by the nick-name of Reena.¹ From 25 November 1918, her married name became Hamilton.¹

     William Richardson Oliver was born on 9 January 1861 at Kilfinnane, County Limerick, Ireland.² He was the son of Richard Oliver and Jane Richardson.² He married Hermione Constance Harriet Brasier-Creagh, daughter of George Washington Brasier-Creagh and Averina Sherlock, on 11 October 1890.³ He died on 26 September 1939 at age 78 at Stone House, Stone Road, London, England.^3,2

     Colin Oliver Hargreave is the son of Oliver Hargreave.¹ He married Averina Rachel Grace Sackville Hamilton, daughter of Major Charles Sackville Hamilton and Averina Jane Oliver, on 29 January 1951.¹
