     Hon. Gilbert Neville Smyth was born on 23 October 1864.¹ He was the son of Florance George Henry Irby, 5th Baron Boston and Hon. Augusta Caroline Saumarez.¹ He married Esmé Edwards, daughter of George Oldham Edwards and Emily Frances Way, on 1 January 1891.¹ He died on 13 February 1940 at age 75.¹
     He was given the name of Gilbert Neville Irby at birth.¹ On 16 April 1915 his name was legally changed to Gilbert Neville Smyth by Royal Licence.¹ He was an Honourable Attaché in the Diplomatic Service.¹ He lived at Braeside, Bangor, Caernarvonshire, Wales^G.¹

     Esmé Edwards was the daughter of George Oldham Edwards and Emily Frances Way.¹ She married Hon. Gilbert Neville Smyth, son of Florance George Henry Irby, 5th Baron Boston and Hon. Augusta Caroline Saumarez, on 1 January 1891.¹ She died on 1 May 1946.¹
     From 1 January 1891, her married name became Smyth.¹

     George Oldham Edwards was born in 1814.² He married Emily Frances Way, daughter of Reverend Henry Hugh Way and Susannah Daniels, on 5 February 1856.² He died on 18 February 1883.²

     Emily Frances Way was born in 1835.² She was the daughter of Reverend Henry Hugh Way and Susannah Daniels.^1,2 She married, firstly, George Oldham Edwards on 5 February 1856.² She married, secondly, Sir John Henry Greville Smyth, 1st Bt. on 24 April 1884.¹ She died on 23 November 1914.¹
     From 5 February 1856, her married name became Edwards.¹ From 24 April 1884, her married name became Smyth.¹

     Reverend Henry Hugh Way was born on 13 April 1807.² He was the son of Benjamin Way and Mary Smyth.² He married Susannah Daniels in 1833.² He died on 23 February 1890 at age 82.²
     He lived at Alderbourne Manor, Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was Vicar between 1830 and 1860 at Henbury, Gloucestershire, England.²

     Sir John Henry Greville Smyth, 1st Bt. married Emily Frances Way, daughter of Reverend Henry Hugh Way and Susannah Daniels, on 24 April 1884.¹
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Smyth, of Ashton Court in 1859.
