     John Ord Mackenzie was born on 18 March 1811.¹ He was the son of Richard Mackenzie and Jane Hamilton.² He married, firstly, Margaret Hope Kirkpatrick, daughter of Sir Thomas Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 5th Bt. and Jane Kirkpatrick Sharpe, on 23 April 1833.¹ He married, secondly, Joanna Spens, daughter of William Spens and Janet Hill Cook, on 20 January 1881.² He died on 14 March 1902 at age 90.¹
     He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Dolphinton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹

     Margaret Eugenie Borthwick was the daughter of Francis John Gordon Borthwick and Eugenie Helen Francklyn Thompson.¹ She married Major Ian Rupert Farquhar, son of Sir Harold Lister Farquhar and Constance Audrey Capell, on 18 March 1944.¹ She died in 1977.²
     From 18 March 1944, her married name became Farquhar.¹

     Eugenie Helen Francklyn Thompson is the daughter of Edmund Stow Thompson.¹ She married Francis John Gordon Borthwick, son of Francis Borthwick and Alice Ord Mackenzie, on 6 August 1912.¹
     From 6 August 1912, her married name became Borthwick.¹

     Edmund Stow Thompson lived at Pelham House, Folkstone, Kent, England^G.¹

     Major Ian Rupert Farquhar was born on 5 November 1918.² He was the son of Sir Harold Lister Farquhar and Constance Audrey Capell.^1,2 He married Margaret Eugenie Borthwick, daughter of Francis John Gordon Borthwick and Eugenie Helen Francklyn Thompson, on 18 March 1944.¹ He died on 9 April 2003 at age 84.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.² He gained the rank of Major in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He lived in 2003 at Hamlyns, Chudleigh, Devon, England^G.¹

     Sir Harold Lister Farquhar was born on 15 April 1894.² He was the son of Ernest Farquhar and Maria Theresa Lister.² He married Constance Audrey Capell, daughter of Hon. Arthur Algernon Capell and Isabel Anne Wilson, on 9 October 1917.¹ He died on 31 January 1953 at age 58.²
     He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.² He gained the rank of Major in the Coldstream Guards.² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)² He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1945.² He was Ambassador to Abyssinia between 1946 and 1948.² He held the office of Ambassador to Sweden between 1948 and 1951.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1950.²

     Margaret Kirkpatrick Borthwick was the daughter of Francis Borthwick and Alice Ord Mackenzie.¹ She married Hon. Sir John Carnegie Dove Wilson, son of Professor J. Dove Wilson, on 3 August 1900.¹ She died on 27 January 1947.¹
     From 3 August 1900, her married name became Wilson.¹

     Hon. Sir John Carnegie Dove Wilson was the son of Professor J. Dove Wilson.¹ He married Margaret Kirkpatrick Borthwick, daughter of Francis Borthwick and Alice Ord Mackenzie, on 3 August 1900.¹ He died on 18 April 1935.¹
     He held the office of President of the Supreme Court of Natal.¹

     Alice Borthwick was the daughter of Francis Borthwick and Alice Ord Mackenzie.¹ She died circa July 1935, unmarried.¹
