Charles Anthony Howell Bruce Blake was born on 1 December 1911.¹ He was the son of Major Cecil Bruce Blake and Effie Howell.¹ He married, secondly, Elspeth Lillian Arnott, daughter of Lt.-Col. Allan Maxwell Arnott, on 2 April 1948.¹ He died on 4 January 1951 at age 39 at Korea^G, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross Polish.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross Czech.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) U.S.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Ulster Rifles.¹

Charles Anthony Howell Bruce Blake, son of Major Cecil Bruce Blake and Effie Howell, on 2 April 1948.¹ She married, secondly, Major Patrick Michael Gardner, son of Captain George Henry Gardner and Dorothy Hatt Noble Campbell, on 5 April 1961.²
     From 2 April 1948, her married name became Blake.¹ From 5 April 1961, her married name became Gardner.¹

     Lt.-Col. Allan Maxwell Arnott lived at Holly Lodge, Car Colston, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Gurkha Rifles.¹

     Major Patrick Michael Gardner was born on 18 February 1915.² He was the son of Captain George Henry Gardner and Dorothy Hatt Noble Campbell.^1,3 He married Elspeth Lillian Arnott, daughter of Lt.-Col. Allan Maxwell Arnott, on 5 April 1961.² He died on 10 June 1980 at age 65 at Rugby, Northamptonshire, England.⁴

     Captain George Henry Gardner was born on 13 December 1883.² He was the son of Sir Robert Gardner and Jean Johnston.³ He married Dorothy Hatt Noble Campbell, daughter of Major Henry George Lyon Campbell, on 12 August 1912.² He died on 21 August 1915 at age 31 at Gallipoli, Turkey^G, killed in action.
     He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England^G.² He lived at Sulby House, Sunninghill, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, in Buckinghamshire Yeomanry.² He gained the rank of Captain in the 21st Lancers.¹

     Anthony Teilo Bruce Blake was born posthumously on 5 May 1951.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Anthony Howell Bruce Blake and Elspeth Lillian Arnott.¹ He married Geraldine Shnaps, daughter of Cecil Shnaps, in 1988.¹ He died on 23 January 2014 at age 62 at St. Anton, Austria, in a skiing accident.²
     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 42 Higher Lane, Lymm, Cheshire, England^G.¹
