Sir Walter Blake, 6th Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Blake, of Galway [I., 1622] in October 1686.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Colonel Dillon’s Regiment of Foot, in King James II’s Irish Army.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Galway [Ireland] in 1689.1 He was the first Roman Catholic of distinction to join William III’s invasion of Ireland, where he raised and maintained a regiment at his own expense.1 He lived at Menlough, County Galway, IrelandG.1
