     Sir Hugh Douglas Blackett, 8th Bt. was born on 24 March 1873.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sir Edward William Blackett, 7th Bt. and Hon. Julia Frances Somerville.¹ He married Helen Katharine Lowther, daughter of George William Lowther and Mary Frances Alice Bingham, on 5 February 1903.¹ He died on 13 November 1960 at age 87.¹
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co. Northumberland [E., 1673] on 13 September 1909.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Northumberland Yeomanry.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1914.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.¹

     Helen Katharine Lowther was born on 29 December 1876.² She was the daughter of George William Lowther and Mary Frances Alice Bingham.^1,2 She married Sir Hugh Douglas Blackett, 8th Bt., son of Colonel Sir Edward William Blackett, 7th Bt. and Hon. Julia Frances Somerville, on 5 February 1903.¹ She died on 10 January 1943 at age 66, following an accident.¹
     From 5 February 1903, her married name became Blackett.¹

     Major Sir Charles Douglas Blackett, 9th Bt. was born on 15 August 1904.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh Douglas Blackett, 8th Bt. and Helen Katharine Lowther.¹ He married Ursula Mary Cely Trevilian, daughter of Major Maurice Fearing Cely Trevilian and Mary Susanna F. Imbert Athill, on 28 September 1935.¹ He died on 26 December 1968 at age 64.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated in 1924 at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1942, when he became a POW.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the The Queen’s Bays.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1953.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Northumberland in 1953.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co. Northumberland [E., 1673] on 13 November 1960.¹

     Sir George William Blackett, 10th Bt. was born on 26 April 1906.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh Douglas Blackett, 8th Bt. and Helen Katharine Lowther.¹ He married, firstly, Euphemia Cicely Robinson, daughter of Major Nicholas Robinson, on 26 July 1933.¹ He married, secondly, Daphne Laing Bradley, daughter of Major Guy Laing Bradley, on 5 November 1964.¹ He died on 22 January 1994 at age 87, without issue.^1,2
     He fought in the Second World War, in the Corps of Military Police.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Blackett, of Newcastle, co. Northumberland [E., 1673] on 26 December 1968.¹

     Anna M. Coldwell was born in 1959 at London, England.² She is the daughter of James St. George Coldwell and Rosemary A. Pryse-Rice.^1,2 She married Sir Hugh Francis Blackett, 12th Bt., son of Major Sir Francis Hugh Blackett, 11th Bt. and Elizabeth Eily Dennison, in 1982.¹
     From 1982, her married name became Blackett.¹

     James St. George Coldwell was born in 1930 at Lexden, Essex, England.² He was the son of William St. George A. Coldwell.² He married Rosemary A. Pryse-Rice in 1956 at Westminster, London, England.² He died on 12 July 2012.²
     He lived at Somerton, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Henry Douglas Blackett was born on 2 February 1992.¹ He is the son of Sir Hugh Francis Blackett, 12th Bt. and Anna M. Coldwell.¹

     Amelia Blackett was born in 1984.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Hugh Francis Blackett, 12th Bt. and Anna M. Coldwell.¹ She married Thomas Philip Palmer Anderson, son of John Philip Palmer Anderson and Katharine Jean Spriggs.²
     Her married name became Anderson.²

     Isabella Blackett was born in 1986.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Hugh Francis Blackett, 12th Bt. and Anna M. Coldwell.¹ She married Daniel R. Maguire, son of Steven Maguire.²
     Her married name became Maguire.²

     Flora Blackett was born in 1988.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Hugh Francis Blackett, 12th Bt. and Anna M. Coldwell.¹
