     Sir George Stanley was the son of Sir James Stanley and Anne Hart.¹
     He held the office of Captain of the Isle of Man.¹ He lived at Crosshall, Lancashire, England^G.¹ Sir George Stanley also went by the nick-name of ‘the Black Knight’.¹ He held the office of Marshal of Ireland.¹ He also had two sons who both died wiithout issue.²

     Henry Stanley was born in 1515.¹ He was the son of Sir James Stanley and Anne Hart.¹ He married Mary Stanley, daughter of Peter Stanley, on 26 September 1563.¹ He died on 23 July 1598.¹
     He lived at Aughton, Ormskirk, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Mary Stanley was the daughter of Peter Stanley.¹ She married Henry Stanley, son of Sir James Stanley and Anne Hart, on 26 September 1563.¹
     Her married name became Stanley.

     Sir Edward Stanley, 1st Bt. was the son of Henry Stanley and Mary Stanley.¹ He married, firstly, Catherine Mainwaring, daughter of Sir Randal Mainwaring and Margaret Fitton.¹ He married, secondly, Isabel Warburton, daughter of Peter Warburton and Mary Holcroft, after November 1613.¹ He died circa April 1640.¹ He was buried on 4 May 1640.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Stanley, of Bickerstaffe, co. Lancs [England] on 26 June 1627.¹ He lived at Bickerstaffe, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     William John Annesley was born on 7 May 1881.¹ He was the son of Richard Grove Annesley and Sara Augusta Ruth Bolster.¹ He died on 7 May 1881.¹

     Isabel Warburton was the daughter of Peter Warburton and Mary Holcroft.² She married Sir Edward Stanley, 1st Bt., son of Henry Stanley and Mary Stanley, after November 1613.¹ She died circa 1662 at Ormskirk, Lancashire, England.²
     From after November 1613, her married name became Stanley.¹

     Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 22 October 1616.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Stanley, 1st Bt. and Isabel Warburton.¹ He married Mary Egerton, daughter of Peter Egerton.¹ He died in May 1653 at age 36.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Stanley, of Bickerstaffe, co. Lancs [E., 1627] circa April 1640.¹

     Mary Egerton was the daughter of Peter Egerton.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Edward Stanley, 1st Bt. and Isabel Warburton.¹ She married, secondly, Henry Hoghton after May 1653.¹
     Her married name became Stanley.¹ From after May 1653, her married name became Hoghton.¹

     Sir Edward Stanley, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Bt. and Mary Egerton.¹ He married Elizabeth Bosvile, daughter of Thomas Bosvile, on 25 December 1663.¹ He died on 16 October 1671.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Stanley, of Bickerstaffe, co. Lancs [E., 1627] in May 1653.¹

     Elizabeth Bosvile was the daughter of Thomas Bosvile.¹ She married Sir Edward Stanley, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Bt. and Mary Egerton, on 25 December 1663.¹
     Her married name became Stanley.
