     He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant in the 11th Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹

     Lilias Mary Wilson was the daughter of John Wilson, Lord Ashmore.¹ She married George Kenneth Baynes, son of Edward Neil Baynes and Charlotte Augusta Irby, on 6 June 1921.¹ She died on 23 December 1938.¹
     From 6 June 1921, her married name became Baynes.¹
