Sir Charles Barrington, 5th Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Barrington, of Barrington Hall [in Hatfield Broadoak], co. Essex [E., 1611] on 26 November 1691.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Essex between February 1694 and 1715.1 He held the office of Vice-Admiral of Essex.1
Wotton’s Baronetage recrds that he was “a fast friend of the Church and Monarchy, and a courteous affable gentleman, as much esteemed as any in the county he lived in, and died generally lamented by all his friends.”1
