     Henry Vernon Flower Barran was born on 30 July 1894.¹ He was the son of Henry Barran and Rosalie Mary Flower.¹ He married Cicely Caulfeild, daughter of Vice-Admiral Francis Wade Caulfeild and Katherine Ann Hawkshaw, on 21 July 1921.¹ He died on 21 June 1943 at age 48.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery (Special Reserve.)¹ He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1921 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹

     Cicely Caulfeild was born on 14 March 1899.² She was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Francis Wade Caulfeild and Katherine Ann Hawkshaw.^1,2 She married Henry Vernon Flower Barran, son of Henry Barran and Rosalie Mary Flower, on 21 July 1921.¹ She died in 1985.¹
     From 21 July 1921, her married name became Barran.¹

     Vice-Admiral Francis Wade Caulfeild was born on 25 January 1872.² He was the son of Francis William Caulfeild and Anne Charlotte Eliza Bunbury.² He married Katherine Ann Hawkshaw, daughter of John Clarke Hawkshaw, on 18 June 1898.² He died on 7 November 1947 at age 75.²
     He was awarded the Order of the Crown of Italy.² He was Founder and President of the Association of Retired Naval Officers in 1925.² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1936.²

     Mary Rosalie Barran was born on 14 October 1922.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Vernon Flower Barran and Cicely Caulfeild.¹ She married Antony Giles Heron on 5 January 1963.¹ She died on 28 August 2019 at age 96 at Glaisdale, Yorkshire, England.²
     She graduated from St. Anne’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ From 5 January 1963, her married name became Heron.¹ She lived in 2003 at The Cottage, Glaisdale, Whitby, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Antony Giles Heron married Mary Rosalie Barran, daughter of Henry Vernon Flower Barran and Cicely Caulfeild, on 5 January 1963.¹
     Antony Giles Heron usually went by his middle name of Giles.¹

     Alethea Katharine Barran was born on 13 July 1925.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Vernon Flower Barran and Cicely Caulfeild.¹ She married Reverend John Manifold Courtenay, son of Reverend John Manifold Courtenay, on 18 October 1950.¹ She died on 21 April 1977 at age 51.¹
     From 18 October 1950, her married name became Courtenay.¹

     Reverend John Manifold Courtenay was the son of Reverend John Manifold Courtenay.¹ He married Alethea Katharine Barran, daughter of Henry Vernon Flower Barran and Cicely Caulfeild, on 18 October 1950.¹ He died on 25 August 1988.¹

     Bridget Flower Barran was born on 19 May 1927.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Vernon Flower Barran and Cicely Caulfeild.¹ She married Denis Martin Browne, son of Elliott Martin Browne, on 2 December 1949.¹ She died on 20 February 1989 at age 61.¹
     From 2 December 1949, her married name became Browne.¹

     Denis Martin Browne is the son of Elliott Martin Browne.¹ He married Bridget Flower Barran, daughter of Henry Vernon Flower Barran and Cicely Caulfeild, on 2 December 1949.¹
     He was registered as a Associate, Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (A.R.I.A.S.)¹ He graduated with a Diploma in District Town Planning (Dip.Dis.T.P.)¹ He graduated with a Architectural Association Diploma (A.A.Dip.)¹ He was registered as a Associate, Royal Institute of British Architects (A.R.I.B.A.)¹
