     Dorothy Stella Margaret Barran was born on 4 June 1919.¹ She was the daughter of Philip Austyn Barran and Dorothy Currer Briggs.¹ She married Joseph William Sloan Allison, son of Joseph Allison, on 6 March 1943.¹ She died on 2 October 2010 at age 91 at Cardross, Dunbartonshire, Scotland^G.²
     From 6 March 1943, her married name became Allison.¹ She lived in 2003 at The Cottage, Longbarn, Cardross, Dunbartonshire, Scotland^G.¹
