     Sir Samuel Barnardiston, 2nd Bt. was born on 28 January 1659/60.1 He was the son of Nathaniel Barnardiston and Elizabeth Bacon.1 He was baptised on 9 February 1659/60 at Hackney, London, EnglandG.1 He married Martha Richmond, daughter of Thomas Richmond, on 13 August 1709, with a portion of £6,000.1 He died on 3 January 1709/10 at age 49 at Charter House yard, London, EnglandG, without issue.1 He was buried on 11 January 1709/10 at Ketton, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 His will (dated 20 January 1709/10) was proven (by probate) in December 1711.1
     He was admitted to Gray’s Inn on 10 February 1679/80.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ipswich between 1698 and 1700.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Barnardiston, of Bright Hall, co. Suffolk [E., 1663] on 8 November 1707.1 He lived at Brightwell, Suffolk, EnglandG.1
