     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1904 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1909 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1934.¹ He was Director-General of Civilian Clothing.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1946.¹ He was chairman of Barlow and Jones Ltd.¹ He was chairman of Manchester and District Bank.¹

     Esther Sophia Gaselee was the daughter of Henry Gaselee.¹ She married Sir Thomas Dalmahoy Barlow, son of Sir Thomas Barlow, 1st Bt. and Ada Helen Dalmahoy, on 15 February 1911.¹ She died on 24 March 1956.¹
     She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Manchester.¹ From 15 February 1911, her married name became Barlow.¹

     Henry Gaselee lived at Linden Gardens, Bayswater, London, England^G.¹

     Basil Stephen Barlow was born on 15 February 1918.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Dalmahoy Barlow and Esther Sophia Gaselee.¹ He married, firstly, Harriette Peel, daughter of Robert Peel, on 17 August 1940.¹ He and Harriette Peel were divorced in 1950.¹ He married, secondly, Gerda Theresia de Grado, daughter of Professor Dr. Zaar Ferrari de Grado, on 15 April 1950.¹ He died in 1991.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was chairman of Man-Abell Holdings.¹

     Harriette Peel is the daughter of Robert Peel.¹ She married Basil Stephen Barlow, son of Sir Thomas Dalmahoy Barlow and Esther Sophia Gaselee, on 17 August 1940.¹ She and Basil Stephen Barlow were divorced in 1950.¹
     From 17 August 1940, her married name became Barlow.¹

     Robert Peel lived at Knowlmere Manor, Clitheroe, Lancashire, England^G.¹ He was a judge.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.)¹

     Gerda Theresia de Grado is the daughter of Professor Dr. Zaar Ferrari de Grado.¹ She married Basil Stephen Barlow, son of Sir Thomas Dalmahoy Barlow and Esther Sophia Gaselee, on 15 April 1950.¹
     From 15 April 1950, her married name became Barlow.¹ She lived in 2003 at Stancombe Park, Dursley, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Professor Dr. Zaar Ferrari de Grado lived at Graz, Austria^G.¹

     Nicholas Dalmahoy Barlow was born on 18 May 1951.¹ He is the son of Basil Stephen Barlow and Gerda Theresia de Grado.¹
