He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Barker, of Grimston Hall, in Trimley, co. Suffolk [E., 1622] on 28 July 1731.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Suffolk from 1742 to 1743.1

Sir Comport Fytche, 2nd Bt. was born on 18 October 1676 at Eltham, Kent, EnglandG.3 He was the son of Sir Thomas Fytche, 1st Bt. and Anne Comport.3 He married Anne Robinson, daughter of Sir Lumley Robinson, 2nd Bt., on 6 December 1705 at St. Vedast, Foster Lane, London, EnglandG.3 He died in 1720.4
He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Fytche, of Eltham, co. Kent.

He held the office of Sheriff of Rutland from 1646 to 1647.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Rutland between 1656 and 1658.1 Circa 1661 he purchased the estate of Lyndon, Rutland, and built a large mansion.1 He was created 1st Baronet Barker, of Hambleton, Rutland [England] on 9 September 1665.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Rutland in 1679.1
