     Sir John Stewart of Minto was the son of Sir Robert Stewart of Minto and Janet Murray.2,3 He married, secondly, Margaret Stewart, daughter of James Stewart, 3rd of Cardonald and Alice Reid.1 He married, firstly, Joanna Hepburn.3 He died in February 1583.3
     He held the office of Provost of Glasgow.3 He lived at Minto, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.1

Sir James Stewart, Master of Blantyre1

     Sir James Stewart, Master of Blantyre was the son of Walter Stewart, 1st Lord of Blantyre and Nichola Somerville.1 He married Lady Dorothy Hastings, daughter of George Hastings, 4th Earl of Huntingdon and Dorothy Port.1 He was murdered on 8 November 1609 at Islington, London, EnglandG, by Hon. Sir George Wharton, killed in a duel with Sir George Wharton (who was also killed), without issue.1 He was buried on 10 November 1609 at Islington, London, EnglandG.1
     He was styled as Master of Blantyre between 1606 and 1609.1 He murdered Hon. Sir George Wharton in 1609, killed by the Master of Blantyre (and also killed) in a duel over cards, unmarried.2

Lady Dorothy Hastings1

     Lady Dorothy Hastings was born on 15 January 1579.1 She was the daughter of George Hastings, 4th Earl of Huntingdon and Dorothy Port.1 She married, firstly, Sir James Stewart, Master of Blantyre, son of Walter Stewart, 1st Lord of Blantyre and Nichola Somerville.1 She married, secondly, Robert Dillon, 2nd Earl of Roscommon, son of James Dillon, 1st Earl of Roscommon and Elinor Barnewall, after 1609.1 She died before 1622.1
     Her married name became Stewart.1 From after 1609, her married name became Dillon.1

Robert Dillon, 2nd Earl of Roscommon1

     Robert Dillon, 2nd Earl of Roscommon was the son of James Dillon, 1st Earl of Roscommon and Elinor Barnewall.2,3 He married, firstly, Margaret Barry, daughter of David Barry, 5th Viscount Barry and Ellen Roche.4 He married, secondly, Lady Dorothy Hastings, daughter of George Hastings, 4th Earl of Huntingdon and Dorothy Port, after 1609.1 He married, thirdly, Anne Strode, daughter of Sir William Strode, before 1627.5 He died on 27 August 1642.1
     He gained the title of 2nd Earl of Roscommon.1
