William Baillie, Lord Polkemmet1 
He was admitted to an Advocate in 1758.1 He was styled as Lord Polkemmet [Scottish Law Lord] on 14 November 1793.1 He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] between 14 November 1793 and 1811.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2
