     Sir Richard Astley, 1st Bt. was born circa 1625.¹ He was the son of Walter Astley and Grace Trentham.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Philipps, daughter of John Philipps, before 1657.¹ He married, secondly, Henrietta Borlase, daughter of William Borlase and Joanna Bankes, circa 1680.¹ He died on 24 February 1687/88.¹ He was buried at Patshull, Staffordshire, England^G.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Astley, of Patshull, co. Stafford [England] on 13 August 1662.¹ He lived at Patshull, Staffordshire, England^G.¹

     Walter Astley was born circa 1592.¹ He was the son of Thomas Astley and Margery Aston.^2,3 He married Grace Trentham, daughter of Francis Trentham.³ He died on 18 February 1658.¹
