Sir Robert Dundas, 1st Bt.1 
Sir Robert Dundas, 1st Bt. was born on 30 June 1761.3 He was the son of Robert Dundas and Elizabeth Turnbull.4,5 He married Matilda Cockburn, daughter of Archibald Cockburn and Janet Rennie, on 20 July 1798 at St. Cuthbert’s, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.3,4 He died on 4 January 1835 at age 73 at Heriot Row, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.3
He held the office of Clerk of Session.3 He was Deputy to the Lord Privy Seal.3 He was created 1st Baronet Dundas, of Beechwood, co. Midlothian [U.K.] on 24 August 1821.4

He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, ScotlandG.2 He graduated from Keble College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was an administrative officer between 1911 and 1930 at NigeriaG.2 He was an Administrative Officer between 1911 and 1930 at Nigeria.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Dundas, of Beechwood, co. Midlothian [U.K., 1821] on 23 October 1934.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire in 1940.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.
