     He was educated at Glenalmond College, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹ He gained the title of Baron of Ardblair [Scottish mediavel barony] on 24 July 1979, after the title was recognised by the Lord Lyon King of Arms.¹ He gained the title of Baron of Gask [Scottish mediavel barony] on 24 July 1981, after the title was recognised by the Lord Lyon King of Arms.¹ He lived in 2003 at Ardblair Castle, Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Jennifer Caroline Anscombe was born on 16 November 1947.² She is the daughter of Leonard Lockwood Anscombe.¹ She married Laurence Philip Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Gask, son of Major Philip James Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Beatrice Mary Carroll, on 11 August 1973.¹
     From 11 August 1973, her married name became Kington-Blair-Oliphant.³

     Charles Laurence Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Gask, yr. was born on 11 January 1976.¹ He is the son of Laurence Philip Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Gask and Jennifer Caroline Anscombe.¹

     Amelia Caroline Kington-Blair-Oliphant was born on 25 September 1977.¹ She is the daughter of Laurence Philip Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Gask and Jennifer Caroline Anscombe.¹

     Major Philip James Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair was born on 5 August 1901.¹ He was the son of T/Lt.-Col. Philip Laurence Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Laura Geraldine Bodenham.¹ He married, firstly, Lillian Norris, daughter of Herbert Norris, on 11 June 1927.¹ He and Lillian Norris were divorced in 1931.¹ He married, secondly, Beatrice Mary Carroll, daughter of Thomas Laurence Carroll and Susan Waring, on 18 August 1934.¹ He died on 22 May 1963 at age 61.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1921 and 1924.¹ He fought in the campaign in Iraq between 1930 and 1931.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Border Regiment.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     T/Lt.-Col. Philip Laurence Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair was born on 17 December 1867.¹ He was the son of Philip Oliphant Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair and Henrietta Yaldwin.^1,2 He married Laura Geraldine Bodenham, daughter of Frederick Bodenham, on 19 February 1900.¹ He died on 8 April 1918 at age 50, from wounds received in action.¹ He was buried at St. Sever Cemtery, Rouen, France^G.³
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches four times.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel in the 11th (Service) Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Philip Oliphant Kington-Blair-Oliphant of Ardblair was born on 17 December 1832 at Charlton House, Wraxall, Somerset, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Kington and Margaret Oliphant.^1,3 He married Henrietta Yaldwin, daughter of William Henry Yaldwin and Henrietta Mary Bowles, in 1859.³ He died on 2 July 1892 at age 59 at Datchet, Eton, Berkshire, England^G.^1,2
     He was given the name of Philip Oliphant Kington at birth.³ In 1868 his name was legally changed to Philip Oliphant Kington-Blair-Oliphant.³

     Thomas Kington was born on 28 April 1795 at Charlton House, Wraxall, Somerset, England^G.² He was the son of Thomas Kington and Charlotte Miles.² He married Margaret Oliphant, daughter of Laurence Oliphant, 8th of Gask and Christian Robertson of Ardblair, on 26 May 1830 at Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire, England^G.^3,2 He died on 19 February 1857 at age 61 at Manilla Hall, Clifton, Bristol, England^G.²
     He lived at Charlton House, Wraxall, Somerset, England^G.¹
