     He lived at Maen House, Burton Bradstock, Dorset, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Marines.¹

     Admiral Charles Henry Adair was born on 2 July 1851.² He was the son of General Sir Charles William Adair.² He married Annette C. Wilson, daughter of W. H. Wilson, in 1893. He died on 9 March 1920 at age 68.²

     He was educated at Glenalmond College, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery, Army Air Corps.¹

     Gillian Marjorie Mettam is the daughter of Herbert Mettam.¹ She married Major Arbuthnot James Adair, son of Lt.-Col. Charles Walter Adair and Olive Joan Arbuthnot, on 10 January 1959.¹
     From 10 January 1959, her married name became Adair.¹

     William Henry Adair was born on 28 December 1961.¹ He is the son of Major Arbuthnot James Adair and Gillian Marjorie Mettam.¹

     Catherine Elizabeth Adair was born on 6 April 1960.¹ She is the daughter of Major Arbuthnot James Adair and Gillian Marjorie Mettam.¹

     Patrick Charles Hugh Adair was born on 6 June 1942.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Walter Adair and Olive Joan Arbuthnot.¹ He married Gloria Rosalind Ogston in 1968.¹
     He was educated at Nautical College, Pangbourne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 106 Moody Road, Subbington, Fareham, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Gloria Rosalind Ogston married Patrick Charles Hugh Adair, son of Lt.-Col. Charles Walter Adair and Olive Joan Arbuthnot, in 1968.¹
     From 1968, her married name became Adair.¹
