     Colonel William Patrick Arbuthnot was born on 28 April 1878.¹ He was the son of Major Archibald Ernest Arbuthnot and Anne Elizabeth Ball.¹ He married Olive Walker, daughter of Hon. William Gregory Walker, on 30 June 1904.¹ He died on 12 August 1949 at age 71.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Marines.¹ He fought in the First World War, with the 4th Cruiser Squadron and 1st Battle Squadron.¹

     Olive Walker was the daughter of Hon. William Gregory Walker.¹ She married Colonel William Patrick Arbuthnot, son of Major Archibald Ernest Arbuthnot and Anne Elizabeth Ball, on 30 June 1904.¹ She died on 5 April 1957.¹
     From 30 June 1904, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     Hon. William Gregory Walker held the office of Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.¹
