     Charles Twistleton Alston was born circa 1812.¹ He was the son of Charles Alston and Mary Williamson.¹ He died on 16 January 1834.¹

     Sir Wharton Amcotts, 1st Bt. was born on 23 February 1739/40.¹ He was baptised on 24 February 1739/40 at Hackthorne, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Alexander Emerson and Elizabeth Bosville.¹ He married, firstly, Anna Maria Amcotts, daughter of Vincent Amcotts and Elizabeth Quincey, on 16 April 1762 at Chequer Chapel, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Amelia Campbell on 20 October 1800.¹ He died on 26 September 1807 at age 67 at Scarborough, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was buried on 5 October 1807 at East Retford, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹
     He was given the name of Wharton Emerson at birth.¹ On 13 May 1777 his name was legally changed to Wharton Amcotts by Royal Licence.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Retford between 1780 and 1802.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Amcotts, of Kettlethopre Park, co. Lincoln [Great Britain] on 11 May 1796.¹
