He matriculated at St. John’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 8 July 1625.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple before 1634.1 He was a barrister in 1639.1 He was appointed Knight before 1641.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire from 1641 to 1642.1 He was created 1st Baronet Alston, of Odell, co. Bedford [England] on 13 June 1642.1 He held the office of an Assessment Commissioner for Bedfordshire in 1643.1 He held the office of an Assessment Commissioner for Bedfordshire in 1660.1
