     From 18 December 1770, her married name became Alston.¹

     William Alston was born circa 1771.¹ He was the son of Sir William Alston, 8th Bt. and Mary Rose.¹ He married Elizabeth Brister, daughter of John Brister, on 2 January 1793 at Lingfield, Surrey, England^G.¹ He died on 23 March 1802, without male issue.¹
     He had two other daughters.¹

     Elizabeth Brister is the daughter of John Brister.¹ She married William Alston, son of Sir William Alston, 8th Bt. and Mary Rose, on 2 January 1793 at Lingfield, Surrey, England^G.¹
     From 2 January 1793, her married name became Alston.¹

     John Brister lived at Crowhurst, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Sir Thomas Alston, 1st Bt. was born circa 1609.¹ He was the son of Thomas Alston and Frances Blundevill.¹ He married Elizabeth St. John, daughter of Hon. Sir Rowland St. John and Sybella Vaughan, before 1650.¹ He died circa July 1678.¹ He was buried on 11 July 1678 at Odell, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹ His will (dated 25 April 1678) was proven (by probate) on 19 July 1678.¹
     He matriculated at St. John’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 8 July 1625.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple before 1634.¹ He was a barrister in 1639.¹ He was appointed Knight before 1641.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire from 1641 to 1642.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Alston, of Odell, co. Bedford [England] on 13 June 1642.¹ He held the office of an Assessment Commissioner for Bedfordshire in 1643.¹ He held the office of an Assessment Commissioner for Bedfordshire in 1660.¹

     Thomas Alston lived at Polstead and Asin, Suffolk, England^G.¹

     Frances Blundevill is the daughter of Simon Blundevill.¹

     Simon Blundevill lived at Monks Illey, Suffolk, England^G.¹ He was also known as Blomfield.¹

     William Alston was born before 1609.¹ He was the son of Thomas Alston and Frances Blundevill.¹ He died on 16 March 1636/37.¹

     Elizabeth St. John was the daughter of Hon. Sir Rowland St. John and Sybella Vaughan.¹ She married Sir Thomas Alston, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Alston and Frances Blundevill, before 1650.¹ She died on 8 September 1677.¹ She was buried on 10 September 1677 at Odell, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹
     From before 1650, her married name became Alston.¹
