     Lt.-Col. Robert Ambrose Cecil King was born on 12 March 1852.¹ He was the son of Colonel Edward Richard King and Mary Thorn.¹ He married, firstly, Bessie Macredy, daughter of Reverend J. Macredy, on 10 December 1885.¹ He married Lillian Walters Davies, daughter of Rochfort Davies, in 1893.¹ He died on 6 December 1897 at age 45.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Bessie Macredy was the daughter of Reverend J. Macredy.¹ She married, firstly, Major J. L. Bell before 1885.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Robert Ambrose Cecil King, son of Colonel Edward Richard King and Mary Thorn, on 10 December 1885.¹ She died in 1892, without issue.¹
     From before 1885, her married name became Bell.¹ From 10 December 1885, her married name became King.¹

     Major J. L. Bell married Bessie Macredy, daughter of Reverend J. Macredy, before 1885.¹ He died before 1885.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Reverend J. Macredy was the Rector at Killallan, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity.¹

     Lillian Walters Davies is the daughter of Rochfort Davies.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Robert Ambrose Cecil King, son of Colonel Edward Richard King and Mary Thorn, in 1893.¹
     From 1893, her married name became King.¹

     Eileen Mary Fredeswede King was born in 1894.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Ambrose Cecil King and Lillian Walters Davies.¹
