     Anne Hotham Townsend was born between 1819 and 1820.¹ She married Parsons Persse, son of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir, before 23 June 1842 at Backfield, County Mayo, Ireland^G.¹ She died in 1900 at Galway, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹
     From before 23 June 1842, her married name became Persse.¹

     Richard Sadleir Persse was born on 3 May 1803 at County Galway, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir.¹ He died on 3 March 1854 at age 50 at Wetumpka, Alabama, U.S.A.^G.¹
     He emigrated to Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A., arriving on 1821.²

     Dudley Persse was born between 1804 and 1805 at County Galway, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir.¹ He married Margaret Boyd at U.S.A.^G.¹ He died after 1857 at U.S.A.^G.¹
     He emigrated to Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A., arriving on 1821.² He founded Persse and Brooks Ltd, paper manufacturers (with his attorney Horace Brooks.)² In 1857 the Company refloated as Persse and Brooks Paper Works (with capital of $450,000.)²

     Margaret Boyd married Dudley Persse, son of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir, at U.S.A.^G.¹
     She lived at Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G.² Her married name became Persse.

     Theophilus Blakeney Persse was born on 27 March 1806 at County Galway, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir.¹ He married Mary Anne Edwards, daughter of Hon. John Edwards, on 10 February 1829 at Johnstown, Fulton County, New York, U.S.A.^G.¹ He died on 13 December 1880 at age 74 at Johnstown, Fulton County, New York, U.S.A.^G.¹
     He emigrated to Johnstown, Fulton County, New York, U.S.A., arriving on 1821 by his father to study farming.² He was in the paper business.² He held the office of Member of the Connecticut State Legislature in 1861.²

     Mary Anne Edwards was born on 13 December 1806 at New York, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. John Edwards.² She married Theophilus Blakeney Persse, son of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir, on 10 February 1829 at Johnstown, Fulton County, New York, U.S.A.^G.¹ She died on 29 April 1883 at age 76 at U.S.A.^G.¹
     From 10 February 1829, her married name became Persse.¹

     Thomas Moore Persse was born between 1808 and 1809 at County Galway, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir.¹ He married Margaret Hickman, daughter of Edward Shadwell Hickman and Sarah Hoops, on 2 April 1840 at Great George’s, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He died on 15 May 1884 at Norman Villas, Galway, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹ He was buried on 17 May 1884 at Bohermore Cemetery, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹
     He was naturalized as a U.S. citizen.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was US Consul & Landing Waiter at Dublin Port, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² He lived at Mount Vernon, Taylor’s Hill, County Galway, Ireland.¹

     Margaret Hickman was born circa 1812.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Shadwell Hickman and Sarah Hoops.¹ She married Thomas Moore Persse, son of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir, on 2 April 1840 at Great George’s, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ She died on 10 January 1890 at County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ She was buried at Bohermore Cemetery, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹
     From 2 April 1840, her married name became Persse.¹

     Edward Shadwell Hickman was the son of Richard Hickman and Sidney Catherine Shadwell.¹ He married, firstly, Sarah Hoops, daughter of Richard Hoops and Annabella Stevelly.¹ He married, secondly, Sarah Lambert, daughter of Walter Lambert and Eliza Persse, on 29 May 1830 at St. Mark’s, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.^2,1 He died circa 5 February 1848 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹
