He married Jadwiga Friederike Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Öhringen, daughter of Felix Eugen Wilhelm Ludwig Albrecht Karl Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Öhringen and Alexandrine Prinzessin von Hanau und Horowitz, on 28 May 1879. He died on 8 February 1922 at age 71.

     Marie Luise Augustine Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Öhringen was born on 26 January 1867 at Heidelberg, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.³ She was the daughter of Felix Eugen Wilhelm Ludwig Albrecht Karl Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Öhringen and Alexandrine Prinzessin von Hanau und Horowitz.^1,2 She married, firstly, Albrecht Georg Bernhard Karl Prinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont, son of Karl Christian Prinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont and Amalie Henriette Prinz zur Lippe-Biesterfeld, on 8 May 1886.² She married, secondly, George Granville Hope Johnstone, son of William James Hope Johnstone and Emily Mary Baillie, on 4 December 1913 at Vierfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa.³ She and George Granville Hope Johnstone were divorced in 1915.² She died on 23 July 1945 at age 78 at Gauting, Bayern, Germany^G.³
     Marie Luise Augustine Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Öhringen also went by the nick-name of Luise.¹ Her married name became Hope Johnstone.

     Albrecht Georg Bernhard Karl Prinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont was born on 11 December 1841. He was the son of Karl Christian Prinz zu Waldeck und Pyrmont and Amalie Henriette Prinz zur Lippe-Biesterfeld.^2,3 He married, firstly, Dorothea Gage, Gräfin von Rhoden, daughter of Reverend Robert Gage and Catherine Davys-Boyd, on 2 June 1864.¹ He married, secondly, Marie Luise Augustine Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Öhringen, daughter of Felix Eugen Wilhelm Ludwig Albrecht Karl Prinz zu Hohenlohe-Öhringen and Alexandrine Prinzessin von Hanau und Horowitz, on 8 May 1886.⁴ He died on 11 January 1897 at age 55 at Germany^G.
