He gained the title of Baron of Allerdale [feudal].1 He was the Abbot between 1125 and 1138 at CrowlandG.1

Gospatric de Dunbar, 1st Earl of Dunbar1

Circa 1115 he seems to have been a signatory to the Charter of Scone by which the Abbey of Scone was founded.4 He was created 1st Earl of Dunbar [Scotland] circa 1115.1 He fought in the Battle of the Standard on 22 August 1138, where he lead his men of Lothian into a defeat by the English.1
