     Valerian Wellesley was born in December 1592.1 He was the son of William Wellesley and Ellice Wakeley.1 He and Mary Barnewall were engaged in 1602.1 He married Anne Cusack, daughter of Edward Cusack and Elizabeth Aylmer, after 1627.1 He died in May 1655 at age 62.2
     His marriage to Mary Barnewall was annulled in December 1606.1
