     Dietrich Oldenburg, Count of Oldenburg was born circa 1390. He was the son of Christian V Oldenburg, Count of Oldenburg and Agnes von Hohnstein-Heringen. He married, firstly, Adelheid von Delmenhorst, daughter of Otto VII Herzog von Delmenhorst and Rixa von Tecklenburg, circa 1401. He married, secondly, Hedwig Herzogin von Schleswig-Holstein, daughter of Gerhard VI Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein and Elisabeth von Braunschweig, in 1423.1 He died on 22 January 1440.
     Dietrich Oldenburg, Count of Oldenburg also went by the nick-name of Dietrich ‘the Fortunate’. He gained the title of Count of Oldenburg.

She was the daughter of Gerhard VI Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein and Elisabeth von Braunschweig.2 She married, firstly, Balthasar Prinz von Mecklenburg in 1417. She married, secondly, Dietrich Oldenburg, Count of Oldenburg, son of Christian V Oldenburg, Count of Oldenburg and Agnes von Hohnstein-Heringen, in 1423.2 She died circa 1436.
     She gained the title of Gräfin von Holstein.1 She gained the title of Herzogin von Schleswig.1

King Christian II of Denmark2

     Christian II Oldenburg, King of Denmark and Norway was born on 2 July 1481 at NyborgG. He was the son of Hans Oldenburg, King of Denmark and Norway and Christina von Sachsen. He married Isabella Erzherzogin von Österreich, daughter of Felipe I von Habsburg, Rey de Castilla and Juana, Reina Juana de Castilla, on 12 August 1515. He died on 25 January 1559 at age 77.
     He gained the title of Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein. He succeeded as the King Christian II of Norway in 1513.4 He succeeded as the King Christian II of Denmark in 1513.4 He succeeded as the King Christian II of Sweden in 1520.4 He was deposed as King of Sweden in 1521.4 He was deposed as King of Denmark and Norway in 1523.
     Replaced by Gustav Adolphus Vasa as King of Sweden and his great uncle as Frederick I of Denmark and Norway.
