He married Johanna Marie Gräfin zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich, daughter of Carl Ferdinand Fürst zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich and Emma Prinzessin zu Stolberg-Wernigerode, in 1924. He died on 13 May 1969 at age 70.²

     Johanna Marie Gräfin zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich was born on 17 December 1905.² She was the daughter of Carl Ferdinand Fürst zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich and Emma Prinzessin zu Stolberg-Wernigerode.² She married Georg Friedrich Graf zu Solms-Laubach, son of Otto Graf zu Solms-Laubach and Emma Prinzessin zu Ysenburg und Büdingen in Büdingen, in 1924. She died on 7 September 1982 at age 76.²
