     Edmund Burke Roche, 1st Baron Fermoy was born in August 1815.¹ He was the son of Edward Roche and Margaret Honoria Curtain.² He married Elizabeth Caroline Boothby, daughter of James Brownell Boothby and Charlotte Cunningham, on 22 August 1848.¹ He died on 17 September 1874 at age 59.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for County Cork between 1837 and 1855.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Marylebone between 1855 and 1869.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant for County Cork between 1856 and 1874.¹ He gained the title of 1st Baron Fermoy, of co. Cork [U.K.] on 10 September 1856.¹

     Elizabeth Caroline Boothby was born on 9 August 1821.¹ She was the daughter of James Brownell Boothby and Charlotte Cunningham.^1,2 She married Edmund Burke Roche, 1st Baron Fermoy, son of Edward Roche and Margaret Honoria Curtain, on 22 August 1848.³ She died on 26 April 1897 at age 75.³
     From 22 August 1848, her married name became Roche. After her marriage, Elizabeth Caroline Boothby was styled as Baroness Fermoy on 10 September 1856.

     James Brownell Boothby was born on 10 February 1791.² He was the son of William Boothby and Ann Brownell.² He married Charlotte Cunningham, daughter of Alexander Cunningham, on 1 August 1816.² He died on 28 October 1850 at age 59.²
     He lived at Twyford Abbey, Twyford, Berkshire, England^G.²

     Charlotte Cunningham was the daughter of Alexander Cunningham.¹ She married James Brownell Boothby, son of William Boothby and Ann Brownell, on 1 August 1816.¹ She died on 22 January 1893.¹
     From 1 August 1816, her married name became Boothby.¹

     Edward Roche was born on 13 July 1771.¹ He was the son of Edmund Roche and Frances Coghlan.² He married Margaret Honoria Curtain, daughter of William Curtain and Margaret Deasy, in 1805.¹ He died in March 1855 at age 83.¹
     He lived at Trabolgan, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Kildinan, Ireland^G.¹

     Margaret Honoria Curtain was the daughter of William Curtain and Margaret Deasy.^1,2 She married Edward Roche, son of Edmund Roche and Frances Coghlan, in 1805.¹ She died in 1862.
     From 1805, her married name became Roche.
