Sir Roger Bertram1
On 28 June 1246 he had livery of his inheritance.2 On 13 September 1257 he had a grant of free warren in his demesne lands in Mitford and Felton, but the following November, the escheator was ordered to take his lands into the King’s hand.2 On 17 January 1257/58 he was summoned to King Henry III’s Parliament by writ, but Cokayne holds that this did not create a barony by writ.2 He fought in the Battle of Northampton on 3 April 1264, where he sided with the Barons against the King, was taken prisoner, and realeased soon after.2 He fought in the Battle of Lewes on 14 May 1264.2 He lived at Mitford, Northumberland, EnglandG.3
