George Napier and Lady Sarah Lennox.2 He married Caroline Amelia Fox, daughter of General Hon. Henry Edward Fox and Marianne Clayton, on 14 March 1812.2 He died on 12 February 1860 at age 74.3
     He wrote the book History of the Peninsular War.3 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 22nd Foot.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1
