     Penelope Vavasour was the daughter of Reverend Marmaduke Vavasour.¹ She married Reverend John Morewood Gresley, son of Reverend William Gresley and Mary Thorp, on 23 January 1849.¹ She died on 22 February 1858.¹
     From 23 January 1849, her married name became Gresley.¹

     Reverend Marmaduke Vavasour was Vicar at Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, England.¹

     Reverend Geoffrey Ferers Gresley was born on 17 August 1851.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Morewood Gresley and Penelope Vavasour.¹ He died on 1 July 1935 at age 83, without issue.¹
     He was Priest-in-charge between 1897 and 1905 at Observatory, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ He held the office of Canon of St. George’s Cathedral, Cape Town between 1897 and 1905.¹ He was Rector between 1905 and 1916 at St. Michaels, Observatory, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ He was Curate between 1916 and 1922 at Somerset West, Cape Province, South Africa.¹

     William Stukeley Gresley was born on 7 November 1852.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Morewood Gresley and Penelope Vavasour.¹ He married Maria Elizabeth Archer, daughter of James Archer, in 1889.¹ He died on 25 November 1923 at age 71.¹

     Maria Elizabeth Archer was the daughter of James Archer.¹ She married William Stukeley Gresley, son of Reverend John Morewood Gresley and Penelope Vavasour, in 1889.¹ She died on 23 September 1917.¹
     From 1889, her married name became Gresley.¹
