     From 12 July 1866, her married name became Richardson.¹ She was with the Red Cross in the Boer War in 1899.¹ She was in Japan during the Russo-Japanese War in 1904.¹ She was appointed Dame of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)¹ She was in Athens during the Balkan War in 1912.¹ She was in Belgium during the First World War, escaping with refugees from Antwerp in a coal barge in 1914.¹ She wrote the book Japanese Hospitals in Wartime.¹

     James Coxon Richardson was born on 3 May 1817.¹ He was the son of John Richardson and Elizabeth Clarke.¹ He married, thirdly, Georgiana Skirrow Nelson, daughter of John Nelson, on 10 October 1854.² He died in 1874 at Cairo, Egypt.^1,3

     John Richardson was born on 2 August 1790.¹ He married Elizabeth Clarke, daughter of Jeremiah Clarke and Mary Crow, on 5 March 1809.¹ He died on 21 November 1858 at age 68.¹
     He held the office of Mayor of Swansea between 1844 and 1845.¹

     Elizabeth Clarke was born in 1791.² She was the daughter of Jeremiah Clarke and Mary Crow.¹ She married John Richardson on 5 March 1809.¹ She died on 26 July 1864.¹
