     Marjory Maxwell was born in 1573 at Tealing, Angus, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Hugh Maxwell.¹ She married Sir James Elphinstone, 1st Lord Balmerinoch, son of Robert Elphinstone, 3rd Lord Elphinstone and Margaret Drummond, before 23 December 1597.¹ She died after 2 August 1601.¹
     From before 23 December 1597, her married name became Elphinstone.¹

     Mary Emlen Lloyd Lowell was born circa 1884.¹ She was the daughter of John Lowell.¹ She married Randal Thomas Mowbray Berkeley, 8th Earl of Berkeley, son of George Lennox Rawdon Berkeley, 7th Earl of Berkeley and Cécile Drummond, on 8 November 1924.¹ She died on 11 August 1975 at Assisi, Italy^G.¹
     From 8 November 1924, her married name became Berkeley. After her marriage, Mary Emlen Lloyd Lowell was styled as Countess of Berkeley on 8 November 1924.

     Captain Hastings George Fitzhardinge Berkeley was born illegitimately circa 1859.¹ He was the son of George Lennox Rawdon Berkeley, 7th Earl of Berkeley and Cécile Drummond.¹

     Aline Carla Harris is the daughter of unknown Harris.¹

     Sir Lennox Randal Berkeley was born on 12 May 1903.¹ He was the son of Captain Hastings George Fitzhardinge Berkeley and Aline Carla Harris.¹ He married Elizabeth Freda Bernstein, daughter of Isaac Bernstein, in 1946.¹ He died on 26 December 1989 at age 86.¹
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He was appointed Knight in 1974.² He was Composition Professor at Royal Acadamy of Music, London, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Freda Bernstein was born on 25 May 1923 at London, England.² She was the daughter of Isaac Bernstein.¹ She married Sir Lennox Randal Berkeley, son of Captain Hastings George Fitzhardinge Berkeley and Aline Carla Harris, in 1946.¹ She died on 21 February 2016 at age 92.²
     Elizabeth Freda Bernstein usually went by her middle name of Freda.² Her married name became Berkeley.

     Michael Fitzhardinge Berkeley, Baron Berkeley of Knighton was born on 29 May 1948.¹ He is the son of Sir Lennox Randal Berkeley and Elizabeth Freda Bernstein.¹ He married Deborah Jane Coltman-Rogers, daughter of Guy Coltman-Rogers, in 1979.¹ He married Elizabeth West in 2016.³
     He was educated at Westminster Cathedral Choir School, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at The Oratory School, Reading, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Acadamy of Music, London, England^G.¹ He was a broadcaster, rock musician, phlebotomist and composer.¹ He adopted Jessica Rose Berkeley. He was artistic director of the Cheltenham Music Festival between 1995 and 2004.¹ He was Governor of the Royal Ballet in 2001.¹ He lived in 2003 at 49 Blenheim Crescent, London, England^G.¹ He was created Baron Berkeley of Knighton, of Knighton in the County of Powys [U.K. Life Peer] on 26 March 2013.²

     Deborah Jane Coltman-Rogers was born on 6 April 1938.² She was the daughter of Guy Coltman-Rogers.¹ She married Michael Fitzhardinge Berkeley, Baron Berkeley of Knighton, son of Sir Lennox Randal Berkeley and Elizabeth Freda Bernstein, in 1979.¹ She died on 30 April 2014 at age 76.²
     She was a literary agent.² Her married name became Berkeley. She adopted Jessica Rose Berkeley. She was preisdent of the Association of Author’s Agents.² After her marriage, Deborah Jane Coltman-Rogers was styled as Baroness Berkeley of Knighton on 26 March 2013.
